A twist in the tale

 "Dog gets stuck with Leopard in toilet for Hours, Survives"  February 3 rd 2021,  India was buzzing with this incident.This news made several rounds in the internet and the news channels were repeatedly telecasting the the video clip of the annoyed Leopard and trembling Dog, positioning themselves opposite of each other in a small  toilet in Karnataka's Bilinele village.

Reporting the news is one thing while giving perspectives to the same news creates a whole different scenario!  

A news channel reported that the Dog's presence of mind had actually helped in its survival. Let me remind you the dog did nothing but to crouch itself in fear in one end of the toilet fearing for its dear life!! 

Another said, the village and the forest officials failed in their attempt to capture the Leopard as it has been causing problems for quite sometime in the village. This news channel gave a heroic status to the dog who was portrayed to have actually managed to allure the Leopard in to the toilet but the Dog's efforts proved to be in vain!

Yet another newspaper reported the incident as horrifying while interesting developments took place in the morning hours. You have to know that there was nothing developmental about this, the Leopard probably felt trapped and angered that these men would not let him have his feast as he knew he was watched over, while the stray Dog sat there looking terrified and scared.

The stray Dog, the survivor was the 'Face of the day' as photos and videos went viral! Thank god, the survivor is not a human, otherwise his/her heroic act( which they themselves would not be aware of) will be the topic for the next 6 months in our media.

If the he or she happens to be spiritually inclined, they probably will popularize the 'Bhairavar' who is still underrated in our country, when compared to other deities !! If its a 'her', the story will take unimaginable twists and perspectives which I am not able to predict! The human will  give interviews and post videos about this experience, then will move on to creating a you tube channel--"Survive the wild", probably extending it as 'Wildlife Vlog', write a book ' A twist in the tale' and finally spin his/her experience into a massively successful public speaking career or a motivational speaker!
