MOM KNOWS

Every year on Mother's day , the globe turns into a wishing swell regardless of whatever is happening outside of the swell. It wouldn't even stop, when the Pandemic is showing its worst face! Competitions are held, articles written, stories unveiled, poems penned, gifts given, statuses are created, profile pictures changed with moms, talk shows happen about the greatness of mothers and many more! 

Each one of us want to acknowledge the role played by a mother in our lives. Most of us take this as an opportunity to thank them. There are some like me who would treat the special day just like any other day! Ironically, this Mother's Day I have made an exception.

I feel 'Mothers Day' is just not enough to show our gratitude. Our love and responsibility definitely goes beyond the  particular 24 hour time span.

A mother's strength comes from being tested by the various roles she plays in a family. It comes from soldering on for her children even when it becomes too much for her!

Obviously each mother is unique and the variety is endless! We have the 'Best friend' mother, who tries her best to fulfill the role, The' Perfect mother' who believes perfection to be the highest form of virtue in her children's upbringing. Then we have the  'My kids the best' mother  who will annoy everyone by breathing, talking and living only about her children. There is always a percentage of 'Unpredictable mothers' among us who act according to their title. Finally we have the ' Ideal mother' who happen to be a very less percentage of the mothers population! Children feel proud, just accept, feel terribly embarrassed and many more take off in different directions. Well, that's another prompt to write for Children's day!

My mother was and will be everything of the above at different times. She has been 'My best friend mother' whenever I wanted to talk about friends, relationships and all other things as a teenager. My kids the best mother' moments were there when I used to be with our relatives. My mom will show signs of being an 'Unpredictable mother' when she does not sync with my thoughts! The 'Perfect mother' times I experienced with her was when I myself became a mother. 'The dominating character of my mother, is being an ' Ideal mother' having combinations of all types in the right amounts at the right times.

It is characteristic of the mothers to have the 'mothers instinct'  which cannot go under any type! Those are the aesthetics and traits that can only be 'felt' in their motherhood! I am sure there are a lot of us who just want to roll our eyes and say "Mothers!" and the others who acknowledge to every point being made here. But there is one thing common to all the mothers out there.  "MOM KNOWS" whatever it is!
