Recently, situations made me tag along with a couple of friends who happened to meet after a coon's age. After a few excited exchanges, when all the eagerness calmed down, their conversations plunged into unknown directions to each other, trying hard to connect but failing miserably even to have a simple laugh about a lame joke to which they would usually make a drama about stunning everyone with their electric vibe and chemistry. A couple of minutes later one of them declared 'You have changed!'. The immediate reply from the other person was, 'No, I haven't!'.
Have you thought about this statement, which I would rather say is an accusation!? The most common reply we give is, 'No I haven't I am the same'. That, for sure is an instant defensive answer when we were confronted with the truth.
Do we believe in what we say or is it just for the sake of the argument, more of a desperate attempt to save the relationship? It's obviously the latter!
Day in and day out, we are forced to make changes to the way we think and the way we present ourselves. Everyday is a challenge! With the growing responsibility and a constant need to upgrade, change is inevitable.
The truth is, its natural to change from what we were to what we are!
Things change,
Times change,
Why shouldn't people change?
What's wrong in becoming a better version of yourself?
It may not be the best thing about you for the people who once knew a simpler version of you when you were still young and did not have the need to be somebody else, but for the self its all about how you have grown. So when your once upon friends, relatives or even your dearest ones present you with this opinion , tell them
Life's all about perspectives,
What you thought once was an oasis
Might seem like a mirage now.
Grow up people, times change and so do we!
Absolutely relate to this. Change is constant! Thank you Mam. The need of the hour!!!

Delete💯 not everyone we meet knows about our past and how it has molded us to be at present. Even if I refuse to change the time and people around me change my life. Change is inevitable 😌

DeleteYes I agree..Change is unavoidable. Also as you said,.change for the better version is appreciable.
ReplyDeleteBut the nature of a person shouldnt change even in critical situation.
All other changes will not affect him even later, but the nature change will affect himself to extent.
Sadly it happens sometimes!
DeleteYup!
ReplyDeleteGive it a name of maturity or a process of growing up...we have changed.
And we should accept and embrace this change as it is a part of what we are NOW!
